To inspect your residential or commercial rental space for mold, PowerBees provides the following as part of the microbial investigation:
PowerBees sends a mold inspector, certified for both residential and commercial mold assessments, to your tenant’s residential or commercial space.
The mold investigation consists of gathering a history of property – any past water damage or moisture penetration into the home or building. A comprehensive history of the property is important for determining an accurate mold remediation protocol.
PowerBees also records the humidity and moisture readings, looks for visible water damage, visible mold and its cause. PowerBees will also asses the exterior of the home or building for issues that might result in future moisture penetration or water damage.
PowerBees will collect air samples, surface samples or a combination of both during the mold investigation.
PowerBees will take a sample from the outside to compare indoor air to the outdoor air – this is called a baseline comparison to determine what is in the environment around the building.
The samples are sealed and sent along with the chain of custody to an independent third-party lab where they are processed. This usually takes three to five business days.
Rush Processing – upon request, PowerBees can have those samples rushed at the lab for an extra fee. Rushed samples are typically available within one to two business days.
PowerBees will review the results and write a report of our findings. The report consists of the information gathered during the inspection, the results from the lab, an explanation of the results and recommendations based on those findings.
